Russell Crowe to be Jor-El in "Man of Steel"!

According to Variety, Russell Crowe(A Beautiful Mind, Gladiator) will play Superman's father, Jor-El, in Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel".

Snyder(300, Dawn of the Dead) will direct the movie with a script by David S. Goyer(Blade II, Dark City) and which stars Henry Cavill(Stardust, Blood Creek), Amy Adams(Enchanted, Catch Me If You Can), Kevin Costner(Waterworld, Dances With Wolves), Diane Lane(Judge Dredd, Untraceable), and Michael Shannon(Vanilla Sky, Bad Boys II).

"Man of Steel" will be released in December of 2012.
