As an actor, Geoffrey Rush has acted in movies such as Elizabeth: The Golden Age, released in 2007 as Sir Francis Walsingham, Elizabeth (1998) (Sir Francis Walsingham), Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) in which he portrays Barbossa, The Warrior's Way (2010) as Ron, The Book Thief (2013) portraying Hans Hubermann, and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga Hoole (2010) in which he portrays voice.
