If this weekend's release of the musical Rock of Ages doesn't do much for you (check out our set visit right here), perhaps another music centric film that is being described as "Glee" meets Bridesmaids will pique your interest. That's exactly what's coming from Pitch Perfect, a new comedy featuring Anna Kendrick as a misfit college student who, unhappy with her life at school, joins an all-girl a cappella group and engages in a rival battle with the all-boy group, the Treblemakers in the quest to win the International Championship of Collegiate A Capella at Carnegie Hall. There might be some fun to be had here. Have fun!
Here's the first trailer for Jason Moore's musical comedy Pitch Perfect, in high def from Yahoo:
Jason Moore (a TV director of "Dawson's Creek" and "Everwood") makes his feature directorial debut with Pitch Perfect, written by "30 Rock" writer and producer Kay Cannon, based on Mickey Rapkin's book of the same name. Anna Kendrick stars as Becca, a misfit college student who, unhappy with her life at school, joins an a cappella group. She leads the women in ditching their traditional numbers for mash-ups of songs old and new as they compete in the cut-throat world of college a cappella groups. Alexis Knapp, Rebel Wilson (Bridesmaids) and Brittany Snow also star in the comedy hitting theaters October 5th. Interested?
