Mae West was an American actress, screenwriter, and writer.

Mae West was born Mary Jane West on August 17th, in Brooklyn, New York, United States. Her zodiac sign was Leo.

She died on Saturday, November 22nd, 1980 at the age of eighty-seven (87) in Hollywood, California, United States.

As an actress, Mae West has performed in movies such as Klondike Annie, released in 1936 in which she plays The Frisco Doll/Rose Carlton/Sister Annie Alden, Goin' to Town (1935) playing Cleo Borden, I'm No Angel (1933) as Tira, Belle of the Nineties (1934) (character: Ruby Carter), Myra Breckinridge (1970) in which she portrays Leticia Van Allen, and Sextette (1978) playing Marlo Manners/Lady Barrington.

As a screenwriter, Mae West has also worked on movies such as My Little Chickadee, released in 1940, Klondike Annie (1936), Goin' to Town (1935).

Mae West has written the story of movies such as Belle of the Nineties, released in 1934, I'm No Angel (1933).
