Here are some memorable quotes from "Casablanca".

Released on November 26 of 1942 in the USA, "Casablanca" (also known as "Everybody Comes to Rick's") is a Drama/Romance/War film directed by Michael Curtiz, and written by Julius J. Epstein (screenplay) , starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Paul Henreid, Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt and Sydney Greenstreet.

If you know of any other memorable quotes, please do not hesitate to post them! Or simply if you want to share comments!

Thank you!

Note from the Webmaster: I messed up with the database once, and some quotes are now showing under the wrong film :-/... I am trying to fix this, but you can always report such mistakes.

Realizing the importance of the case, my men are rounding up twice the usual number of suspects.

I don't interfere with them and they don't interfere with me. In Casablanca, I'm master of my fate.

Paul Henreid
Paul Henreid (Victor Laszlo)
Welcome back to the fight. This time, I know our side will win.
You know how you sound, Mr. Blaine? Like a man who's trying to convince himself of something he doesn't believe in his heart.
You seem to think of me as just the leader of a cause, but I am also a human being.

Sydney Greenstreet
Sydney Greenstreet (Signor Ferrari)
As leader of all the illegal activities in Casablanca, I'm an influential and respected man, but it would not be worth my life to do anything for Monsieur Laszlo. [to Ilsa] You, however, are a different matter.
We might as well be frank, monsieur. It would take a miracle to get you out of Casablanca, and the Germans have outlawed miracles.

Dialogues from "Casablanca"

Captain Renault (Claude Rains)
[about Sam] He came from Paris, with Rick.

Ilsa Lund (Ingrid Bergman)
→ Rick? Who's he?

Captain Renault
→ Mademoiselle, you are in Rick's and Rick is, uh...

Ilsa Lund
→ Is what?

Captain Renault
→ Well, Mademoiselle, he's the kind of man that - well, if I were a woman, and I were not around, I should be in love with Rick. But what a fool I am talking to a beautiful woman about another man.

Captain Renault (Claude Rains)
→ Well, I was right. You are a sentimentalist...What you just did for Laszlo, that fairy tale you invented to send Ilsa away with him. I know a little about women, my friend. She went, but she knew you were lying.

Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart)
→ Anyway, thanks for helping me out.

Captain Renault
→ I suppose you know this isn't going to be very pleasant for either of us, especially for you. I'll have to arrest you, of course.

Rick Blaine
→ As soon as the plane goes, Louis.

Major Strasser (Conrad Veidt)
→ I'm not entirely sure which side you're on.

Captain Renault (Claude Rains)
→ I have no conviction, if that's what you mean. I blow with the wind, and the prevailing wind happens to be from Vichy.

Major Strasser
→ And if it should change?

Captain Renault
→ Well, surely the Reich doesn't permit that possibility.

Major Strasser
→ You are concerned about more than Casablanca. We know that every French province in Africa is honey-combed with traitors waiting for their chance, waiting, perhaps, for a leader.

Captain Renault
→ A leader - like Laszlo?

Major Strasser
→ Uh huh. I have been thinking. It is too dangerous if we let him go. It may be too dangerous if we let him stay.
