Released in the USA on December 14 of 1984, "Dune" (also known as "Wüstenplanet, Der", "Dune - Der Wüstenplanet") is an Action/Adventure/Science Fiction/Fantasy film directed by David Lynch . Francesca Annis (Lady Jessica) is starring, alongside Leonardo Cimino (The Baron's Doctor), Brad Dourif (Piter De Vries), José Ferrer (Padishah Emperor Shaddam IV), Linda Hunt (Shadout Mapes) and Freddie Jones (Thufir Hawat).

As an actress, Francesca Annis has been seen in movies such as Carry on Teacher, released in 1959, The Debt Collector (1999) as Val Dryden, Krull (1983) (character: Lyssa, Widow of the Web), The Walking Stick (1970) in which she portrays Arabella Dainton, Onegin (1999) in which she plays Katiusha, and No Kidding (1960).

Freddie Jones and David Lynch (director) have worked together on Wild at Heart, released in 1990 (George Kovich), The Elephant Man (1980) playing Bytes. As an actor, Freddie Jones has been seen in movies such as Young Sherlock Holmes, released in 1985 in which he portrays Cragwitch, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1993) in which he plays Sapsea, House!
