Released in the USA on March 30 of 1984, "Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes" (also known as "Greystoke - Die Legende von Tarzan, Herr der Affen", "Greystoke la leggenda di Tarzan il signore delle scimmie") is an Adventure/Drama/Family/Romance film directed by Hugh Hudson . Christopher Lambert (John Clayton/Tarzan, Lord of the Apes) and Andie MacDowell (Miss Jane Porter) are starring, alongside Ralph Richardson (The Sixth Earl of Greystoke), Ian Holm (Capitaine Phillippe D'Arnot), James Fox (Lord Charles Esker) and Cheryl Campbell (Lady Alice Clayton).

Nicholas Farrell and Hugh Hudson (director) have also worked together on Chariots of Fire, released in 1981 portraying Aubrey Montague. As an actor, Nicholas Farrell has been seen in movies such as The Iron Lady, released in 2011 in which he portrays Conservative advisor, Hamlet (1996) as Horatio, Legionnaire (1998) as Mackintosh, Late Bloomers (2011) portraying Francis, Plunkett & Macleane (1999), and Pearl Harbor (2001).

Nigel Davenport and Hugh Hudson (director) have worked together on Chariots of Fire, released in 1981 as Lord Birkenhead. As an actor, Nigel Davenport worked on movies such as The Last Valley, released in 1970 (character: Gruber), A Man for All Seasons (1966) in which he plays The Duke of Norfolk, Sebastian (1968) portraying Gen. Phillips, The Third Secret (1964) portraying Lew Harding, The London Connection (1979) (character: Arthur Minton), and Play Dirty (1968) as Capt. Cyril Leech.

Hugh Hudson is an English director, and producer. Hugh Hudson has directed movies such as My Life So Far, released in 1999, I Dreamed of Africa (2000), Lost Angels (1989), Chariots of Fire (1981).
