Charley Grapewin and Victor Fleming (director) have worked together on The Good Earth, released in 1937 in which Charley Grapewin portrays Old Father, Captains Courageous (1937) as Uncle Salters. As an actor, Charley Grapewin has been seen in movies such as Crash Dive, released in 1943, Stand Up and Fight (1939) as 'Old Puff', Caravan (1934) in which he portrays Notary, Artists and Models Abroad (1938) (character: James Harper), Lady and Gent (1932) in which he portrays Grocer, and The Millionaire (1931) in which he plays Edward 'Ed' Powers.
