Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios have announced that actor Tobey Maguire, who portrayed Spider man in the three first films, will not wear the famous red and blue suit for the fourth opus of the saga.
Sam Raimi, who directed the first three films, will also not be taking part of the making of the fourth. It seems the producers and Raimi did not succeed to agree on a story.
The studio seems to prefer the story proposed by James Vanderbilt, which rewinds to the begining with a high school-aged Peter Parker.
As a result, Spider-Man 4, which was scheduled to be released in summer 2011, has been delayed for a world wide release in summer 2012.
Please do not hesitate to share your feelings about all of this.
