Directed by Pedro Almodóvar, and written by Pedro Almodóvar (screenplay) and Thierry Jonquet (based on the novel by), "The Skin I live In" (also known as "La piel que habito") is a Drama/Science Fiction film, released in the USA on October 14 of 2011 , starring Elena Anaya (Vera), Blanca Suárez (Norma), Jan Cornet (Vicente), Marisa Paredes (Marilia), Bárbara Lennie (Cristina) and Buika.

Marisa Paredes and Pedro Almodóvar (director) have also worked together on Tacones lejanos, released in 1991 in which Marisa Paredes portrays Becky del Páramo, Entre tinieblas (1983) portraying Sor Estiércol, Todo sobre mi madre (1999) (Huma Rojo). As an actress, Marisa Paredes has been seen in movies such as Bicicletas son para el verano, Las, released in 1984 in which she portrays Doña María Luisa, El Coronel no tiene quien le escriba (1999) in which she portrays Lola, Goya, historia de una soledad (1971), Todo sobre mi madre (1999) playing Huma Rojo, El Espinazo del diablo (2001) as Carmen, and Tras el cristal (1987) (character: Griselda).
