At last, shooting for Paul Thoman Anderson's "Inherent Vice is set to start this month of May. Apparently, Joaquin Phoenix is still going to star in the lead role of "Doc Sportello", a private investigator and regular dopehead who investigates a kidnapping case. The story is set at the end of the 1960s, a rough, colorful, and turbulent time in the U.S.
Anderson also wrote the screenplay, and this film will pair him up for a second time with Phoenix, their first project being the 2012 "The Master". In the past, Anderson has also directed the powerful "There Will Be Blood", starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
"Inherent Vice" will be released some time in 2014.
