After a 20 years long collaboration, Disney has announced the non renewal of the contact which were linking the Hollywood studio to the film producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Twenty years during which Disney had a right of first on Bruckheimer projects.

Jerry Bruckheimer has signed an impressive amount of successful blockbusters, such as "The Pirates of the Caribbeans" series, starring Johnny Depp, "Pearl Harbor," "Armageddon," "Rock," "Con Air," "Enemy of the State,", etc...

However, it is said hat the poor performances of "Lone Ranger," did not help with the relation between Disney. Done by the same dream team as the Pirates of the Caribbeans, "Lone Ranger," did not meet the same success, with only $85 millions incomes in the USA, for a budget of $250 millions.

Disney and Bruckheimer will still continue to collaborate on several projects, like the upcoming fifth Pirates of the Caribbeans: "Dead Men Tell No Tales" due to be released in 2015. If I don't make mistake, his film has been delayed by one year, because of a problem with the budget, that Disney was considering too expensive. For the fourth film, the script has been also changed to lower the budget resulting in way less scenes taking place in the ocean for example. Buyt still the franchise reached the billion of dollars of incomes!
